This extraordinary bottle artistically embellished with figurative beadwork depicting men and women dancing is one of only a few known. The works were all seemingly made by the same artist, probably active around mid-century, and represent a wonderful example of the Tutsi utilizing and adapting foreign ideas and forms within their tradition of prestige containers.
