Carved from a heavy gray hardwood often called ironwood. Fine flowing adzing. Some repaired and restored cracks now could benefit from re-coloring.
Provenance: Collection of Vanna & N. Lee Lacy, Hollywood and Palm Springs, CA, who bought strong old Indonesian sculptures in the 1960—1970s when noteworthy Californian tribal art dealers were first bringing them out of Indonesia.
