Provenance: This collection of superfine examples was put together from approximately 1000 studied in the 1980s by Dave DeRoche from his source and friend Jean-Yves Brizot, a France-born Saharan explorer and guide who lived in Niger and Chad and purchased wind-uncovered surface finds from the Tuareg and other Saharan nomads with whom he worked.
