A very old and worn small Korwar charm from the Geelvink Bay area of Irian Jaya. The classic Korwar hunkered figure has a lot of scrolls around and in front like a shield. This intricately carved piece was used as a personal amulet for protection. There is a good patina with a lot of wear from age and use.
