A rare Bhutanese helmet that is made of silk with a hidden interior of small iron plates that are attached to create flexibility. The iron plates are very much like what you see on Tibetan armor. Most likely this helmet was used by a royal guard or high ranking official. Previously in the Cleveland Museum of art, inventory number 85.1009.
