Old cylindrical weathered and eroded hardwood stool from Cameroon. Ringed with a row of connected spiders around edge. Spiders were depicted on royal stools which were used by the chiefs in ritual and display. The spiders were a symbol of wisdom and a link between this world and that of the ancestors.
