This type of drum is used among several ethnic groups in eastern and southern Mindanao, including the Tobli, Blaan, Mansaka, and Mandaya. Made from a short length of log with each end then covered with skin. It is used while seated with the drum standing on the ground, allowing one drumhead only, to be played.
